The California Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters, Inc., (CAIIA) is a non-profit organization of insurance professionals consisting member firms and offices throughout the states of California, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington.
Our motto, “Dedication to Excellence”, has made the Association a driving force in the insurance industry. The Association assumed an active role in the task force responsible for formulating the Fair Claims Settlement Practices Regulations and created a state advisory council comprised of Association members and insurance company executives as a forum to maintain an ongoing avenue of communication between independent insurance adjusters and insurance companies directed toward the achievement of professionalism. Most recent, the CAIIA was the driving force behind the formation of the Registered Professional Adjuster (RPA) program. The RPA program is an organization, now fully divested from the CAIIA, which promotes continuing education and professionalism for all insurance personnel, staff and independent alike. After completion of testing and meeting the criteria of the RPA program, individuals may earn the coveted RPA designation.
As evidence of our continuing commitment to excellence, education has been foremost. The Association sponsors numerous seminars, an All Industry Day, co-sponsors the Combined Claims Conferences and underwrites an award for those enrolled in the “Associate in Claims” courses through the Insurance Institute of America (AIA).
The California Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters, Inc. will continue to be the standard bearer of professionalism within the insurance industry for many years to come.
